Karrie Page and Nicole Dickson are Registered Speech-Language Pathologists and Certified Orofacial Myologists who received their Masters of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. Karrie is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). They have owned and operated successful private practices focusing on providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for orofacial myofunctional disorders in Alberta, Canada for almost 20 years. They are the founders and facilitators of the Oral Rest Posture Program (ORPP) for the comprehensive assessment and treatment of OMDs. They are both behavior-based therapists that focus on current research and evidence-based practice. ORPP Canada offers a comprehensive 28 hour International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) certification track course as well as a 1 day introductory course.

Karrie and Nicole became interested in orofacial myofunctional disorders soon after graduating from their Masters program. After reading countless articles, numerous books and attending several courses they realized this was the missing link in some of the clients they were seeing! Collaborating with local dental practitioners they started treating clients from a myofunctional perspective and were overwhelmed with the treatment prep time needed in order to individualize each client’s program. They experienced information overload trying to link research with practice and realized there must be a better way! ORPP evolved from something they developed for their own personal clinics into a framework that could help other clinicians improve their practice by more effectively treating OMDs. Over the last 15 years the ORPP training tools and framework have been amended and updated multiple times to reflect current practice and research. Nicole and Karrie's passion is to provide quality, effective and evidence-based therapy for individuals with myofunctional disorders and to share what they have created along the way with others. ORPP has transformed their practice - they look forward to sharing ORPP with you!
